Remember that for both meetings in July you will be able to "purchase" tickets for a chance to win a fabulous quilt, and all proceeds go to StoreHouse West. I just heard they had to close for a few days because of a copper theft, which messed up the refrigerator/freezer system and they lost a lot of food, so this fund raiser of food is even more timely than usual.
All you have to do is bring a donation of non-perishable food to either the 1st or 2nd meeting in July. For each can or box, you get one raffle ticket. This raffle is only open to Thimbleweed members, so someone is going to win a wonderful quilt. The blue and yellow sampler blocks were donated by Trish Breslin, Lynn Rogers pieced the top together and Wanda Silver quilted and bound it. Becky Wood will have her truck parked near the entrance at Sabana Grande so you can drop items off as you go to the meeting. Please have them bagged or boxed, so as to make collection easier. You might also want to have some address labels to stick on each ticket, since some of you generous members bring cases of stuff, and that's a lot of tickets to write your name and phone number on.
Thanks for your support in this worthy cause.
